Wheels
The wheels were turned using a tungsten carbide bit for roughing to remove the "skin" and were finished using a HSS tool. The inside of the wheel was held in a 3 jaw chuck and machined first followed by drilling and reaming, the wheels were then turned around and fitted to a turned mandrel held in the 3 jaw to turn the other side. Newspaper was placed on the lathe bed to catch the abrasive cuttings.
